Description

The Bead Head Crystal Bugger adds a weighted head and a flashy body to the familiar Woolly Bugger profile. It is a compact searching streamer for trout and other freshwater fish.

Performance

Fish it with short strips and pauses, swing it across current, or drift it through a run. The bead assists the descent, while the soft tail keeps moving as the retrieve slows.

Why we use it

The extra flash gives the fly a different look from a plain Bugger, and the bead is useful when the presentation needs to get below the surface promptly.

Materials

Weighted bead, crystal chenille body, marabou tail, and hackle.
