The Stay

A beachfront base

El Pescador sits on Ambergris Caye, north of San Pedro. Main-lodge rooms offer air conditioning, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and Caribbean views, with the beach and resort pools close by.

Rooms and villas

The property also offers private villas in one-, two-, or three-bedroom configurations. These provide additional space for couples, families, and groups. Accommodation options described here are property facilities; your confirmed reservation determines the room category included in our hosted trip.

After fishing

Getting to Ambergris Caye

Fly into Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City (BZE), then connect by domestic flight to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. A short boat transfer completes the journey to El Pescador.

Coordinate the connections

Send us your proposed international itinerary so connection timing and lodge transfers can be checked. Confirm the domestic baggage allowance with the carrier before packing rod cases and other equipment. Your booking confirmation should specify the transfers included in your package.

Fishing

The flats of Ambergris Caye

El Pescador provides access to shallow saltwater flats for bonefish, permit, and tarpon. Bonefish offer an introduction to tropical sight-fishing, while permit demand accurate presentations and patience. Resident tarpon add another dimension to the fishery.

Fishing through the year

Resident populations make fishing possible year-round. Larger migratory tarpon are a seasonal opportunity; their presence and daily conditions vary. Our hosted departure runs May 11–16, 2027.
