Nestled on the stunning island of Ambergris Caye, El Pescador is the ultimate destination for fishing enthusiasts and island adventurers alike. Whether you’re into fly fishing, offshore pursuits, deep-sea expeditions, or reef exploration, this serene getaway has it all.

Lodging Details

Guests can unwind by one of our three sparkling swimming pools or choose from accommodations that suit every need—be it our beachfront main lodge or spacious two-story, three-bedroom, three-bath private villas, perfect for individuals, families, or groups.

Main Lodge

The Main Lodge offers recently renovated rooms right on the beach, facing the sea, surrounded by fragrant tropical flowering plants and the whisper of shady palms just steps away from a swimming pool. The Main Lodge also features a newly renovated Sunrise Suite. This suite offers breathtaking views of the pool and lush Island greenery. It’s the perfect room to view a mesmerizing sunrise; hence the name, Sunrise Suite!

Food and Beverages

After a long day of fishing and outdoor excursions, the Grand Slam bar is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a refreshing beverage. Guests can order from a selection of both local and imported beverages while enjoying the stunning views of the pool and the Caribbean Sea.

Covered by a large awning, the expanded indoor and outdoor spaces comfortably accommodate a large number of guests in a shaded setting away from the sun. Guests can enjoy an imported beer, indulge in a specialty cocktail, or choose from a curated selection of 150 fine wines.

Breakfast: A la carte menu. Served from 5:30 AM - 9 AM

Lunch: A la carte menu. Non-Anglers will be served from 12:00 PM - 2 PM. Anglers can choose from a variety of sandwiches, wraps or even a shore lunch. Selections will be made the day beforehand.

Dinner: Pre-Fixe Menu. Served at 6:30 pm. (In addition to the pre-fixe menu, local grilled fish fillet or a vegetarian option are offered every night. If you would like one of these options, please let the Chef know by 10 am that day.)

The Fishing

El Pescador offers a fisherman’s oasis in the heart of Belize, with access to classic tarpon flats outside of South Florida. Visitors will experience world-renowned opportunities to sight-cast to bonefish, permit, and tarpon year-round in pristine, shallow waters. Catching the slam is a possibility on any given day.

Permit, bonefish, and tarpon are always released; other species like snapper, grouper, and snook may be kept for the table.

The in-house staff can arrange a variety of activities for all age groups or relax by one of the 3 pools.

Note: Packages vary from 4 nights, 3 days of fishing to 7 nights and 6 days of fishing. Extra days are available upon request. Non-Angler pricing is available.

A minimum 50% deposit is due at checkout. Final payment is due 6 months after the deposit, or sooner if the booking is made within 6 months of the departure date.
