Kisaralik River Expedition Nine days adrift on one of Alaska's last wild rivers
August 11 to 20, 2026 · 9 days, 8 nights · 100 miles of Untouched Tundra
The Kisaralik is the kind of river that built Alaska's reputation. No roads. No lodges. No crowds. Just a wild river winding through endless tundra, carrying some of the hardest-fighting rainbow trout you'll ever encounter.
For nine days and eight nights, you'll float nearly 100 miles through untouched wilderness, targeting trophy rainbow trout that crush mice, dry flies, and streamers with reckless aggression. Arctic grayling are abundant throughout the system, providing nonstop action between trout encounters, and silver salmon fishing can be exceptional during this time of year.
This trip is built around mobility. Every day brings new water, new structure, and new opportunities: long gravel bars, deep cutbanks, braided side channels. Every bend offers the possibility of the fish you've traveled all this way to find.

Life on the River
Days stretch late into the evening under endless northern daylight. Moose wander the riverbanks. Bears leave fresh tracks in the gravel. The nearest road is hundreds of miles away. You'll fall asleep to the sound of moving water and wake up surrounded by one of the last truly wild places left in North America.
Nine days is the sweet spot: long enough to settle into the rhythm of the river, cover serious water, and experience everything this fishery has to offer without feeling rushed.
