Description

The Adams is a general-purpose mayfly dry fly for trout and grayling. This Solitude listing offers both the Standard style and a White Parachute version, giving anglers two ways to present the familiar gray-bodied pattern.

Performance

Use a drag-free drift through feeding lanes and match the hook size to the insects on the water. The parachute's white post helps with tracking, while the Standard style provides a traditional hackled profile.

Why we use it

It covers a broad range of mayfly situations, making it useful when the exact hatch is uncertain or a fish is taking several similar insects.

Materials

Dubbed body and hackle; wing construction varies between Standard and White Parachute styles.

Hook sizes: 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20. Styles: Standard and White Parachute.
