Dyed Pheasant Tails

The dying was consistent throughout the tails. Haven’t tied any flies yet but look like they will fit the bill.

I'm not sure. At first glance, I did not think the quality was very good or what I'd hoped for. However, upon handling and stroking the fibers away from the stem, the individual fibers did seem to be fairly long and pliable. They were not dried out or old, I don't think. I've not had a chance to tie with them yet, so I can't say anymore than this at this point.

The color came out more just plain dark rather than purple. It would have been more purple if the color of the original feather was too dark to come out purple. It was a bad request to dye a dark brown feather purple. I think you did the best that could have been .
